My best friends are Anger and Pain.

I met them down at the cinema.

We were waiting in line for the next big blockbuster experience. A film loosely based on an adaptation of a short story suggested by Philip K Dick.

We were waiting in line, Anger dressed as Batman and Pain with his face painted like a crying clown. I didn't know if he was meant to be The Joker or of he was just gay.

I didn't ask.

The movie started at 11:40am, and was generally awful until 12:50pm. Then, the last twenty minutes were purely unbearable.

I didn't like the new happy ending.

The original thing by Philip K Dick didn't have a happy ending. It didn't even have an ending. It was like the guy just stopped typing at page 234 and sent it off to the publisher.

After the movie, we walked into the blinding summer bright and heat outside.

Anger and I teamed up and jumped Pain for his wallet.

Fun was had by all.

It was the start of a beautiful relationship.
