Vague Insanty 060Eternity stretches forever before us and behind. To control the future you must control the past and have a vague understanding of the present, and sort of smile a lot next week. The infinite computation of possible probability indicates that my wife will be mildly displeased with my meager selection of wedding anniversary gifts but will, inversely, be quiet and complain less and less depending on how unhappy she is. So, if she says something pissy, I conclude she is mildly annoyed. And if she smiles and never says anything on the topic whatsoever, I am assured a warm place to sleep on our soft couch for the next three days. In either case, I get some sort of Mp3/Wma player in return with massive storage capacity and battery life. So I can just put those on and ignore the situation. This is the best way for the universe to function. I give her a collection of half-ass trinkets with which to be disappointed, and she gives me some over priced techno-toy. It's the way nature intended. |
