The road is long and it connects points A and B, but the secret is that A and B are having an illicit affair, and no one wants to speak about it. It's blatantly uncomfortable, like walking in on your mother kissing your uncle Roger.

You always kind of suspected, somewhere in the back of you mind, that it was going on, but you know they are just going to deny it and make it truly lame and uncomfortable, and you don't really actually care very much about it, but it's ripping the family apart, and with all the screaming it's rather hard to go to sleep and wake up and go to school in the morning.

So you waste a few minutes eating raspberry yogurt and an overripe banana with brown spots, and think about this whole mess as you copy math homework from some dude in thick glasses named Sikh Vang.

And Sikh Vang complains loudly about his brother Ng, and how one day he'd like to stab every single person on the planet just to get a taste of revenge, but you know that this dude is seriously good at geometry and instead of being a mass killing psychopath you'll see him again in five years either working for NASA or working at Radio Shack and ogling blonde female customers -- it just depends where he wants to take his life.

And then your aunt Matilda picks you up from school, crying her eyes out and wondering if she should have given Roger more blow jobs, and she uncomfortably asks you if that's important for men, and then she cries some more, and hugs you for 35 seconds whilst weeping.

And you just want to play Pac-Man with your pal Dave, and make lame jokes about walruses -- but it will be weeks before life is that simple again.
