Vague Insanty 056Midnight cigar smoking fools the cancer demon. He's sitting there, reading a back issue of "Hacking Cough Magazine" and there you are on the balcony with Fidel Castro, smoking and laughing and drinking fine imported coffee. Maybe I should avoid the vice, the sin, the hatred, and all the truly cool and unique things about humanity. I could strive to become something better than humanity, something transcendent, something more like a howler monkey and a lot less like an all-powerful Cuban dictator with a fantastic tailor and an excellent taste in tobacco products. And so I'm eating a Fair Trade chocolate bar and enjoying a rum and coke. It's the quality of the elite and somewhat overly expensive lifestyle that I've learned to embrace, and then in walks the cancer demon. He's standing there in his white Panama hat, his alligator shoes, and his multi-colored swatch watch, smiling at me. Reaching down quickly he takes the cigar and gives it a puff, then reads the Belgian porn mag over my shoulder. It's annoying, but hey, he's a demon, and this time he's just in the mood to chill out, and no one has to get lumpy about it. |
